twenty two.

by Hillary on June 19, 2011

If that isn’t one delicious way to begin my 22nd year, I don’t know what is.

Per my request, my mom made lemon poppy seed challah French toast topped with Greek yogurt and fresh berries for my birthday breakfast.

I enjoyed two scrumptious slices.

… and perhaps the most special part of our meal was the apple orange carrot ginger lemon juice handmade with the juicer my mom’s had since her early twenties.

It was a refreshing way to hydrate after a 21-mile father-daughter bike ride along the coast.

HAPPY Birthday to my birthday twin, Miss Tina!

I gotta go figure out what I’m cookin’ my dad for dinner. It’s Father’s Day, too, after all…

Oh, yum! Lemon poppy seed is one of my favorite combos for baked goods. I add lemon zest to everything! But, french toast, wow! That sounds amazing! Happy Birthday!
