Hey hey!! Seeing that it’s Workout Wednesday, you can probably guess via the post title that today I did not one, but two workouts. Silly… maybe. Fun… entirely!
It was a cool, cloudy morning, so I headed to the (outdoor) track for my second and final speed workout. I parked my car, jogged to track, ran an 800 (2 laps), then 1 mile @ 6:42, another 800 and jogged to the gym where I ran 2 laps around the (indoor) track and called my 3 mi. run d.o.n.e.
60-minute cycle class + 10-minutes “a little this, a little that” strength training while I waited for class to start.
I was contemplating whether going to cycle tonight was a good idea, seeing as though x-training wasn’t on my SmartCoach plan – and I should be tapering – but I don’t regret my decision. I had a lot of energy (thanks to 4 dark chocolate espresso beans) and gave it all I got. Just to reference how much I sweat in these classes, I lost 1.2 lbs.* (in water weight) – ridiculous!

After Workout #2, I immediately replenished with plenty of protein and will be hydrating all night ‘til I hit the hay. I’m looking forward to two easy days of x-training and then it’s Race Day!
