Well, hello there friends & happy holiday weekend! Santa is on his way, whether you’re ready or not. I am exhausted from today – putting everything in place – but the table is set + the dessert is made (and decadent it is!).
I have a long run planned for the morning before tying my apron for my duties as Christmas Eve head chef. The menu I designed is mostly gluten-free, minus the appetizer… because 1) I got lazy, 2) my diet isn’t 100% gluten-free/my guests are bread-friendly, and 3) the recipe is festive and tasty.
As for the carnivorous portion of the meal (for all, but myself), my dad is taking care of the cooking. The deer was hunted by my brother (his first animal ever shot); the elk was a generous gift from my orthodontist.

What’s cooking at your place?
Do you go elsewhere for Christmas Eve?
Most importantly, do you leave cookies for Santa?
From my kitchen to yours, a very merry holiday!
