Hi there, friends!

How’s your Workout (and Waffle) Wednesday treating ya? I just realized I did, in fact, have gluten-free toaster waffles for breakfast this morning… at the ungodly hour of 5:45am. I’m running on 4.5 hours of sleep today for no good reason other than I was awake out of “complete starvation”… the feeling of such anyway. Enter TJ’s inexpensive wheat-free waffles and iced coffee waiting in the fridge.

Anyway, I haven’t crashed yet – thank you iced coffee, cinnamon vanilla black tea, Starbucks soy latte, iced green tea, and um… my current cup of lemon ginger green tea. Caffeine much?

Speak of the devil… while I was away during Winter Break, Larabar kindly sent me their newest flavor to sample – Cappuccino!

Last week I mentioned Larabars are one of my favorite ways to fuel a workout, along with my Chocolate Espresso Energy Bites. I am also known to pop a few dark chocolate-covered espresso beans and guzzle iced green tea before/during a sweat sesh [read: Fuel for a Feel-Good Workout]. They must’ve gotten word of my liking for caffeine-powered exercise ;)

Again, I l-o-v-e the simplicity of the ingredient list:

The strong java flavor of this bar will get you jumpin’! I think I’m going to nibble on one later today before my run – I need the jolt!

Are you a caffeinated runner?

Enjoy the remainder of your Workout Wednesday!

Hill

I’ve never had coffee, but my first six months in the “working world” has gotten me pretty close to trying a few times.
Get some sleep : )

Haha, isn’t caffeine great? I had a Starbucks caramel latte for my Wednesday “pick me up” and have been quite productive on getting things done today! Oh, and I can’t wait to try Larabar’s new flavor :)

Caffeine is a must! I refuse to workout pre-coffee/pre-breakfast!

I do usually have caffeine before I run! Is that bad? Haha, it gives me a boost of motivation to go to the gym!

I’ve never tried a Larabar, but I love the taste of coffee – might be a good bar to try :D

I usually like a little caffeine, but since I am breastfeeding, it’s just decaf for me. I still feel like it helps a little though, just a mental game.

I’m a new follower, I found your blog via a Pinterest pin! I also shared such pin on my new blog today, with attribution. I love Larabars, too. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for the cappuccino flavor – sounds delicious. I am somewhat of a caffeinated runner. Whenever I do a local race, I always start with at least one mug of coffee!

Ooo I want to try this bar… I like all things coffee. If I don’t have coffee — watch out!

I can’t do caffeine because if I have some in the morning I will be up all night. However, before a half marathon I will take some bites (if you could call it a bite) of the espresso GU and that helps me a lot.

I think I may try espresso GU for future marathon training :)

Love Love Love Larabars too :) I will have to keep my eye out for this flavor… and yes, I’m a total caffeine addict running… I’m totally trying your espresso balls too — they’re similar to the lara-balls I make — but what a genius idea to add the espresso powder!! thanks!! :)
