Mornin’ and Happy Thanksgiving to ya!
I am most likely mid-WOD as you’re reading this. There was a slight change in my fitness schedule for the week. When I found out there would be an early morning class at the box today, I couldn’t resist swapping a couple of workouts around. There was no way I could miss out on this one:
Oh, how I love MetCon (metabolic conditioning).
Plus, the box is right on the way out of town, so I can get straight on the highway to my family’s after a sweaty workout (and iced coffee). Good thing no one else will be in the car with me! ;)
Cranberries? Yes… yesterday, I attempted to make cranberry orange walnut bread for my family I’ll be visiting this weekend. New recipe. In a rush. Let’s just say that stick of butter could have done a tastier job elsewhere.
No worries… I’ll get redemption with many other treats in my kitchen this season. #sweatdailyindulgeoften

How did you start your holiday?
Are you responsible for something on the Thanksgiving table?
Oh wow, when I first saw that cranberry photo, I thought it had shredded cheddar cheese on top of it. SO glad that’s not what it was…haha.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Orange zest :)
I made Old Fashioned Potato Walnut Rolls (recipe from Eat Live Run) for my family’s Thanksgiving dinner, as well as roasted brussel sprouts. A whole stick of butter? How could the cranberry bread not taste good?! ;)
Hillary,
How do you like North Rim CrossFit? I live in the same area and have been looking for a crossfit gym with reasonable prices, a good atmosphere and flexible hours. I was looking at North Rim and The Core, but I don’t know much about either. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Hi Michelle,
I LOVE North Rim. I don’t know anything about The Core – never heard of it actually – but North Rim has an awesome atmosphere; it’s a supportive group of individuals and the coaches are encouraging. They offer a variety of class times, as well. I would certainly check it out – your first class is free :)
