Happy Things

…in no particular order…

Running {more like jogging} a total of 10 miles last week. #injuryprogress

Post-run Almond Butter Banana Coconut Pancakes

An early Sunday supper of Creamy Broccoli White Bean Soup paired with crisp Old Chico wheat beer.

Beating an ice cream craving with homemade trail mix {a.k.a. healthysELF challenge in action}.

Roommate bonding.

The cutest iPhone case ever. Must have.

I just read that CrossFit article — ohmigosh, yes!! This is so true about any intense exercise (for me it’s swimming, for her it was CrossFit). Some days a slow, easy workout is what’s called for, but most of the time — push it! The intense workouts just get me out of my head, in the best possible sense. Thanks for the link!

The white bean soup sounds yummy. How was it? I heart coconut oil and congrats on the 10 miles!

The soup was good and so so simple to make – the parm and pinenuts are a must!

I’ve never tried coconut oil conditioner. Does it make your hair greasy at all?

I don’t put the oil in all of my hair – just my ponytail. After I let it sit in a bun (to avoid getting the oil elsewhere), I shampoo my hair thoroughly… maybe I’ll right a how-to post on this. Let me know if you try it :)
