Love Your Bod WOD

by Hillary on February 13, 2013

Good morning lovelies!

I thought with Valentine’s Day around the corner, we could give our muscles a little love with a heart-pumping workout… it is Workout Wednesday, after all. Inspired by my crush on CrossFit, I give to you the Love Your Bod WOD.

Loveyourbody

Workout Notes:
  • Lunges – walking (alternating legs), or jumping lunges if you want the extra burn
  • Sumo Squats – may do with or without added weight
  • V-ups

If you do the workout (any given day or time), leave your completed WOD time in a comment below… just like we would write on the whiteboard at a box.

I hope you show your body a little – or a LOT! – of love today in one shape or form. Check out my recently-updated workout page for ideas.

Okay, okay I’ll be the first post. The workout interested me as I don’t have access to gym/weights/any sort of exercise equipment AT ALL, and this is something I could do in my tiny room…so I tried it this morning! It was my first crossfit style workout, and I must admit, knowing the clock was ticking (in a sense) kept me motivated. Finished in 10:11 (subbed jumping lunges for lunges). Regardless, it was a good way to get moving in the morning, thanks! Any other non-equipment workouts (like your push-up/abs one – did that too) would be more than appreciated :)

Hi Sara – Do you mean the kettlebell badge/button in my left sidebar? I made it :)

I tried it on Thursday as a quick workout at home before V-day dinner. I am still sore today! I couldn’t do the V-ups very well (need to work on those!), so I subbed leg lifts and my time was around 17:40. (No idea if that’s good or bad! Ha!) Thanks for the great WOD!

Nice job! V-ups are tough, but leg lifts are a smart substitution :)
