Guys! I don’t know what happened, but do you remember how I was resisting Fall’s arrival? Well, something switched and I am all about autumn now. Perhaps it’s the new brown riding boots that are on their way… who knows, but YES to pumpkin, big sweaters and dark jeans.
Fall doesn’t mean we can get lazy though. You still want toned, sleek arms and a flat tummy under all those cozy layers, don’t you? I know I do. Tag this 20-minute arms and abs routine onto a cardio day. This workout was built upon the philosophy of lighter weights + higher reps = long and lean.
What’ll You’ll Need
- 2 dumbbells, 5-10lb.
Exercises
- front shoulder raises
- up/down planks (alternate arms)
- renegade rows (alternate arms)
- side plank dips
- windmills
- spider push-ups
- chest press + glute bridge
- v-ups
Notes
- Use dumbbells for exercises 1, 3, 5, and 7
- No weights required for exercises 2, 4, 6, and 8 (use a dumbbell for the v-ups to make them more challenging)

I love a good arm workout. My favorite move is probably shoulder raises because I really feel the burn. Favorite ab exercise? Hmm. Probably reverse crunches!

Great workout and I love the fall workout printout! My favorite arm exercise is a bicep curl. Abs… hmm, I guess pilates moves!
Just curious… with your bicep curls, do you typically do heavier weight and fewer reps or lighter weight, higher reps?
It really depends upon the workout, but I tend to lean more towards light weights and high reps as a general philosophy (although I do lift heavy weights on occasion as well!).

Favorite arm exercise is a push-up/row. Love to hate jackknives for the abs. But, my favorite ab exercise has to be track sprints! So good for the core.
Love your Workout Wednesdays (well, really, I love all your posts), but especially because, as a birthday present to myself, I bought a 15# kettlebell. I can’t wait to start throwing it around with some of the workouts you posted the other week!
