Another Waffle Wednesday gone write right.

012

Van’s rule my freezer: banana, coconut, pecans & real maple.

018

My newest obsession.

020

Sparkling tea, you’ve got me.

017

Mom pulls through again: edamame spread.

024

Feed me fresh fruit and I’m a happy kid.

022

Greek yogurt has stolen my heart.

027

I’m spoiled with sushi.

031

The newest addition to my dishware collection. It did its job perfectly.

I’m out. Run & belated b.day brex with my girls in the a.m.

Night!

What’s your style? I am a complete minimalist. I am constantly cleaning out my closet. Everything has a place. I despise clutter. It isn’t necessarily a good thing, but I can’t exactly help it… it runs in my family.

What a wonderful array of eats – the colours in that fruit bowl are just divine!
I HATE clutter too – I am such a minimalist also!

I love your eats today, they were perfect.

Waffles, fruit, sushi + edamame spread = my idea of perfection.

Love you photographs on the grass, too.

I can’t stand clutter, either. My house is very spartan and streamlined.

However, I can’t throw *anything* away so I always just tend to store everything hidden boxes out of view.

I am the anti-clutter queen!!!! Clutter makes me go crazy. It’s even so bad that I won’t let my husband leave the mail on the counter for more than 2 hours. Haha, I guess it’s a good thing but sometimes he gets a little annoyed.

Beautiful eats girl. Everything looks so clean and balanced! :)

I agree… I hate clutter. I would rather throw it away than find a place for it… :-)

I love sushi! I tend to keep things, and have nowhere to put them. It always happens when I throw something away I need it the next day!

Yum, this all looks delicious…now I want waffles AND sushi…

I like minimal kitchens/bathrooms, but I like some personality as well in my bedroom and living room with a few random things here and there. Let’s just say…I have a rolling rack of clothes in my bedroom…

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come over to my room and throw all my crapola-ola-ola away. Make sure to blindfold me while you do it. I don’t know what to do with all my stuff dating back to elementary school. YIKES! If anything, since flights from CA to VA are a bit steep — do you have any strategies!? I’m sure it’s second nature to you, but how do you part with your stuff??

You are too funny, Allie. This is sort of a tough question to answer because honestly, the clean gene is just in my blood. My tidiness really started to come out in junior high (I liked cleaning/decorating our house!). One thing I do to minimize clutter is use what I have before buying more of the same thing, from items in my fridge to shampoo in my shower. I used to be attached to clothing, but not so much anymore. I enjoy bringing bags of my ‘old’ clothes to the used clothing store and making money off what they sell : ) I wish I had more unique tips – it’s certainly a lifestyle. Since you’re moving, now is the perfect time to de-clutter. Good luck! : )

not a fan of clutter either but I try to ignore it when it happens but then when I keep seeing it…I will go CRAZY and clean like a mad woman until it’s all gone!!!

that edamame spread looks SO good!!!

ahhh, kombucha is the best! there is a sign in my Whole Foods that it is currently not being sold because the alcohol content was mis-written on the label!?!? what’s up with that!

I’m a minimalist in a lot of ways, especially dress. I’m not big on jewelry or accessories. I like clean cuts and no sparkles! With food though, I sometimes like to add more than just my minimalism would be satisfied with lol (:

I would say I try to be a minamalist because I move every 4 months, so if I keep it I gotta carry it, but I’m also a shopaholic so I’m always bringing home new things that I probably don’t need ;) I do regular purges, though, and try to really be aware of what I do and don’t use so that anything I haven’t used in a while can get donated to to Goodwill and I don’t have to cart it around on my next move.

I love that you eat chocolate chips from a dish like me! I can’t have them in the house very often though, because I find myself eating them straight from the bag lol.

Also, I tried the Asian Pear Kombucha and have to say I wasn’t really a fan – did I just try a weird flavour? Which one would you reccommend as #1 to try? :)

      Hi Callie –
Chocolate chips are my friend/enemy – they’re dangerous to have in my house ; )

I have not tried the Asian Pear flavor. I have only actually had Kombucha Wonder Drink brand, Essence of Lemon & the can above (green tea + lemon). I liked them both, but kombucha is an acquired taste. Give it another shot!

May I ask why you move every 4 months?

I will give it another shot! And I move so often because I’m in a co-op program for school where I go to school for 4 months and then work for 4 months, then school for 4 months, and so on and so forth. My jobs could end up being anywhere, so I have to be ready to to move my life every 4 months :)

This challenging year was all about appreciating the little things while living through some really BIG things. 2020 had more than a few lessons to teach us all. Through a pandemic, pivotal change in presidency, and loud cry for human rights, I see very clearly how privileged I am. It was the year to let go of plans and lean in to a new perspective.

After all, hindsight is ②⓪②⓪.

One of the goals that I set for 2020 was to make one new local friend in Seattle (seriously something I wrote down as I began the new year moving across the country). While I’m happy to say that I did so (during a pandemic), I feel fortunate for the virtual friendships that developed, too.⁣⁣

Wendy and I met here on IG, and what started as a business relationship and accountability partner has turned into a special bond that transcends any walkie-talkie or social media app. This creative spirit has not only inspired me to get after it and dream bigger as an entrepreneur, but in the same way has encouraged me to honor rest and play: whether it’s giving each other kudos on Strava for tackling a run, building badass business plans and packages, or simply holding space to share the wins and the many woes, personally and professionally, of a memorable year. Having Wendy in my corner has led to some serious momentum and a sense of consistent community.⁣⁣
