After just one minty mojito, I’m a bit tipsy, so this will be kept quite short. I just couldn’t not write anything… no, not today. I had a big crush on today. It was a splendid Friday/first day of the month. I hope it’s a sign for what’s to come in October. Fingers are crossed.
Well, besides the usual school deal, I had an extra special workout at the WREC and an extra special dinner with my visiting guest. Before I get ahead of myself to the deliciousness that is currently being digested in my small intestine, let’s not forget about today’s run that was ever so fun!
- 1 mi. indoor track run @ 8:10
- 15-minute spin [6 mi.]
- 15-minute chit chat break + strength training
- 30-minute treadmill run – 1.0 incline
5 minutes @ 8.0mph [7:30 pace] <—Happy Hillary
10 minutes @ 7.5mph [8:00 pace]
repeat set.
- 0.25 mi. indoor track run
Tonight, my weekend guest and I – any guesses!? – enjoyed a late night dinner downtown at a restaurant I’ve heard much about, but have never dined at: Crush. I didn’t snap any photos of the cozy, classy atmosphere of the 2nd story restaurant and lounge, but that it was. The food was also rated highly by the food critic, yours truly.
Fuji Apple: spiced pecans, currants, blue cheese, roasted onions, organic field greens, balsamic
Crush Bruschetta: heirloom cherry tomatoes, burrata cheese, basil pesto, toasted sourdough bread
Arrancini: crispy fried risotto, roasted tomato, basil pesto
Reminded me of my girl crush on Giada ;)
Eventful day = 1 tired student/runner/“hostess”. Time for sweet dreaming! Have a wonderful weekend, all. I’ll be back to share mine…
With a huge smile,
Hillary
All that food looks so fresh and delicious. It looks like it’s made with very fresh ingredients!
Okay, I’m glad I’m not the only one out there who is tipsy after one tiny drink!!
Lol. I am tipsy after one drink too… especially wine! Your dinner looks awesome!
Congrats on a great run!!
Every single bit of that food looks amazing!! I wish there was a place like this near where I live.
Looks amazing! have a fabulous weekend!!!
Everything looks so delicious! It’s making my mouth water.
I’ve been thinking about going to Crush. I rarely go to the nicer restaurants in Chico, and I want to go there before I graduate. All those pictures make it look mighty tempting!
