Wow, it’s already time to say goodbye to another month and welcome the last month of 2010. Is this weird to anyone else besides myself? We’re about to enter another decade. Ahhh, sometimes I wish time would slowww down.
November was not a spectacular month for me. It was not nearly as exciting as was October, but why focus on the negatives? It had its good days too, whether seldom and few. For my final post of the month, I’m going to keep up with my new tradition by celebrating the good :)
A few of my favorite things…
Pumpkin was everywhere this month – from my pancakes and oats to Greek yogurt snacks and Thanksgiving dessert. Though it’s the end of November, that doesn’t mean the orange squash is disappearing from my diet.
[my Thanksgiving contribution that went unannounced]
Beverage: hot tea.
I love my coffee – and I still drink it just about daily – but I am a lover of tea, too. I’m onto my second box of Candy Cane Lane already – ‘tis the season! Lately, I’ve been drinking about three cups of tea each day – one in the morning with breakfast, one after lunch, and one at the end of day. I have a drawer just for my tea collection, so I switch it up, but at least one cup of plain green is a must.
Do you like tea? If so, share your favorites!
My exercise motivation during the month of November was slim, and the strength training was minimal. I did join DailyMile in hopes to regain my motivation and be inspired by others athletic ability. Be my fitness friend?
Music: the script.
The Script might be old news to you, but my roommate just introduced me to them, and they’ve been dominating my Grooveshark playlist ever since.
Activity: visiting home.
November wasn’t too eventful. I did not attend the epic Foodbuzz Festival in San Francisco [here’s why], nor did I participate in any running races. What I enjoyed most about the month was spending a week at home for Thanksgiving – my first time all semester! During my time in HumCo, I didn’t do a whole lot of anything: cozy fires, family dinners, runs in the Redwood forest, local lattes, and vegetable picking in the rain. I guess I couldn’t have asked for much more.
Enough with November… I’m ready to welcome the beautiful, magical month of December!
* * *
Oh, wait… I almost forgot one thing: it’s Running Tuesday, people.
After about the most intense day EVER [group project… enough said], I got my run on at the WREC and sweated out some of the stress.
2 x 1 mi. indoor track run
30-minute treadmill run [3.75 mi.]
20-minute spin [7.55 mi.]
& bit of beloved stretching.
Did you participate in the final Running Tuesday of the month?
Happy December Eve!
