I love making chia seed pudding and in blueberry chia seed muffins.
I love chia sprinkled on top of banana bread before baking for a nice crunchy crust. It’s also in my cereal and my granola with fresh fruit. My 3 kids aren’t as open to trying new healthy foods as I would like, but little do they know that they’ve been eating it for over 2 years now! I put ground chia in almost everything they eat. It’s virtually flavourless, mixes in easily, and provides them with enough nutrition to help me get over the guilt of feeding them yet another almond butter and nutella sandwich! (I also put raw sesame seeds in most of their food to provide some calcium and I add shelled, raw hemp seeds to their oatmeal and fresh pizza dough… ‘cuz I’m sneaky like that.)
I usually add chia seeds into smoothies or add to yogurt.
I’ve never had chia seeds but I’ve been dying to try them with all the benefits I keep hearing about. I’ll probably add it to my yogurt bowl or oatmeal.

you can add almond milk and chia seeds together with a little bit of splenda (i use sugar free vanilla syrup) and cinnamon, let it sit in the fridge, and in the morning it’s all puffed up like tapioca pudding!

I also tweeted about the giveaway! @MauraCK
I just recently discovered the world of blogging, and one thing I noticed was chia seeds were incorporated into a large variety of recipes. I was desperate to try them, so I searched Fred Meyer, Safeway, Albertsons and had no luck locating them. Eventually I made it to Super Supplements and was delighted to find chia seeds in stock. They were a little too pricey for me to afford to purchase in bulk, so I bought the mini 1-serving pouch for about $1.14. The guy at the counter mentioned I could drink them in water… I poured the packet in my water bottle, and overtime the seeds expanded. I was surprised, but then as I thought about it, I realized it was a no-brainer that they would grow. Anyways, I have only been able to try them in good old H20, and this was a fun experience.
i’ve never tried, but i’d love to sprinkle some ontop of my new love – oatgurt (oatmeal and greek yogurt)!
(:
I love love love chia seeds in my morning oatmeal! :-)
I subscribed to your blog! I was going to anyways :)

I’ve never had chia seeds, but I see them all over other people’s blogs. I think the first thing I’d use chia seeds in is a bowl of oats with peanut butter. That sounds like a nutritious tasty breakfast to me.
I haven’t tried chia seeds yet, but I will probably add them to drinks and salads.
Ahhhh, CHIA SEEDS! I’ve only had them in a cereal mix that I just created, but I feel like there’s so much going on in there that I can’t appreciate them the way I should! I’d LOVE to try them in oatmeal, or on toast with peanut butter. This would be fantastic!
Just tweeted AAAAND am following you (I’m just NOW starting to jump on the Google Reader bandwagon!) :-o
My absolute favourite way to eat chia seeds is in oatmeal. Without them, the oatmeal just isn’t the same!
I had chia seeds once on oatmeal at a friend’s house and would love to add them to my diet! Awesome giveaway!
I love to mix chia seeds in water and add a little lemon juice…zesty!
I’ve never tried chia seeds, but I bet they’d be awesome in oatmeal!
I LOVE chia seeds. I put them in my breakfast every morning. Since I don’t get a lot of fish…I have issues eating fish, if I’m not by the water…I had a bad experience once.
My favorite way to eat them is definitely in my cereal though! I love how they all clump together…and now I want cereal for dinner haha :)
I’ve put them in smoothies, muffins, oatmeal, there are so many ways! I should definitely be eating more chia seeds.
I also subscribe :-)
I never knew chia seeds were edible. I really thought they were just for the chia pets. I would love to try them. My sons got chia pets for Christmas, and they are growing great!
I brought chia seeds over to a friend the other day who wanted to see the food from my blog that she “would never buy otherwise”. I store mine in a small white jar, which is unlabeled. As soon as she saw them she exclaimed that “these are thing things you grow a chia pet with!” Thought that was funny that she could recognize them so readily.
I tell you this story to hide how lame my answer is…I eat them in oatmeal. <3
I have been dying to try chia seeds!!! I’ve seen so many people use them in smoothies and in oatmeal, and I’ve been meaning to try them!
