Dad picked the fresh crab.
Mom made the crab cakes and creamy avocado topping.
I made the salad, boiled the eggs [extra protein!].
Together, we made dinner.
Homemade crab cakes, spicy arugula salad, and a chunk of hearty multi-grain bread.
Must I go back to school Friday? Mother, may must I?
This is why I have not moved out!
I love family dinners.
One night, I went to my parents and I brought a butternut squash and my mom had a bunch of root vegetables. We roasted them, made some couscous and lentils and had a wonderful family dinner! :)
I love family dinners :) They’re so much warmer than any other way! Slash I only WISH I were in college right now, but making food for myself next year will be a bit of a challenge to say the least.
I love dinners where everyone helps! Lots of fun!
And those crab cakes look AMAZING!!!
Oh my goodness, that meal looks delish. Come cook for me!
MmMmMm! That bread and avacado dressing looks amazing! I had some creamy avocado on my bean burgers last night, as well as some on my scrambled egg beaters this morning! So good!
Crab cakes are one of my favorite foods! P.S. I gave you the stylish blogger award. Head over to “Eat on the Run” to check it out :)
Thank you! :)
Wow, crab cakes and creamy avocado. I think I’m in heaven. YUMMM!
