I don’t eat a pile of organic spinach with crisp red onion, creamy avocado, tart chevre, raw sunflower seeds, quinoa with basil pesto and a grilled vegetable burger because I’m on a diet, because it’s the cool thing to do, or because my peers are doing it.
I eat the way I do…
because I crave raw, unprocessed, real food.
because health is my religion.
because I avoid adding unnatural chemicals into my body.
because I enjoy eating what grew in the the ground.
because it’s delicious to my taste buds.
because I view food as my medicine.
because I don’t know how to eat otherwise.

I agree with every single one of those points and I’m jealous of that salad. Not because it’s healthy and I *should* eat things like that, but because it looks darn tasty. Glad you know where you stand on food :)

I definitely eat to live. I try and ask myself if the food will “fill or fuel” my body. I definitely choose to fuel. And real food helps me do that. :-)

I totally agree with this. People always ask me why I eat so healthy and honestly, I don’t want to be pumping my body with chemicals and processed foods. I want to treat my body right – and I actually ENJOY pampering myself with fresh foods from our Earth!!!

Aaaaamen to this! Too many people assume just because I enjoy eating healthy that I am on a diet, or have little information about what they are really putting into their bodies. I have tried to really eat to live lately and balance between living to eat. =)
