On those summer days when the sun decides to play a game of hide ‘n’ seek, make this four-ingredient recipe for a delicious dose of sunshine {and Vitamin A}.
Recipe for sunshine in a jar:
-
1/2 frozen banana
-
1/2-3/4 c. frozen mango
-
1/2 c. carrot juice
-
1/2 c. orange juice
Blend all ingredients in a blender for 1 sweet, tangy, creamy smoothie.
That sounds incredible — even for days when the sun is already shining on full blast and you just need a refreshing drink!
Mmmmm…that does look like sunshine in a jar! Do you think I could substitute 1/2 cup chopped raw carrots for the carrot juice? I don’t think my grocery store sells it!
I’m not sure about the raw carrot, but if you give it a try, let me know… :)
I’ve been on a frozen mango kick lately – especially in my smoothies! I actually tried a fruit/veggie smoothie from Jamba Juice the other day that had carrot puree in it – it was great. I’ll have to try your version…it’s so simple!
This smoothie was actually inspired by one I had at Jamba :)
I love mango! I wish I had some carrot juice and o.j. so I could make this right now!
that looks soooo refreshing!! gotta try it!!
This smoothie looks delicious and refreshing. I wonder where I can get some carrot juice? hmm
