Morning! Today I have a special Positive Monday post for you. I’ve asked Miss Katelyn to write a guest post – the very first guest post ever on the blog at that! – because this adorable, witty chick is full of sparkle + spunk, and I thought she’d do a beautiful job at kicking off the week.

Hi, friends! Nice to meet you! I blog over at Chef Katelyn, and I’m not sure what exactly I blog about. At this point, it’s just about everything from fashion and style to protein powder explosions and my best friend, the coffee maker. I’m glad to be posting for Hill today, as I love her. And hello. Isn’t she gorg? Today I’ll be talking about something very important to me. At first, I didn’t know what to write for Positive Monday, but I found inspiration in an unexpected place. Enjoy!
Faith.
Faith in others, faith in the intentions of those you trust, faith in yourself.
On Saturday, I traveled to Syracuse (a whoooole hour and a half — rough life) and watched the Syracuse Orange duke it out with Marquette, a basketball team that is good, but clearly not good enough to take out our loving Orange. Excuse the blatant love for my team, but sorry I’m not sorry. Spread the love, ya hear?
Watching the team play always seems to teach me something. On Saturday, the ‘Cuse boys often would get quite ahead, and then Marquette would step up their game, catch up, and then Syracuse would pull ahead once again. It was a constant cycle, and seeing the looks on their faces, I could feel their pain and their joy. It also doesn’t help that I’m a die-hard fan and can’t control my vocal reactions to just about everything that happens in the game.
Often, when the players would begin to give up or feel down on themselves after a bad play, they would immediately pick themselves right back up, stand up straight, and sprint for their life.
“Where’s the ball?” That’s all that matters.
Where are you right now? Live in that moment. Live it to the T. There’s no reason to lose hope when what you have right in front of you is there for the taking. It’s all yours. Don’t give up — what do you have to lose?
Find faith in yourself today. Live it. Take this moment and live it now — and have faith that you are able.
xoxo,
Katelyn
Adorable and cute! I think we all [myself included] def need to live more in the minute rather than looking into the past and worrying about the future… Here’s to a motivated Monday!
Something I’m working very hard on every day — and majorly helped by yoga!
yoga is the secret to a happy life :)
