GOOD morning!
BIG news here. Let me introduce to you my new friend (to-be), Miss Mac!
I am officially retiring my first and only laptop — which I’ve had since June 2007! — after I transfer the past 5 years of my life. That’s quite a long life for a PC.
The last 12 hours have been interesting to say the least. It only took me ALL afternoon yesterday to connect to my WiFi… and I thought simple was Apple’s middle name?
Putting this blog post together has taken up most up my morning, too, but hey — I’m learning by doing.
I knew blogging, or an attempt at in anyway, would require a lot of patience and brain power, so I fueled up properly with a hearty breakfast first thing this morning.
Quick Cinnamon Quinoa Pancakes topped with creamy almond butter, hemp seeds & real maple
with iced coffee (and cinnamon coffee cubes!)
I’m running out of patience, so I think it’s time I get runnin’ on the rest of my day…
Apple bloggers, what program do you use to write your blog posts and edit/resize photos?
Any other Mac blogging tips? I have SO much to learn!
Yay for Macs! I got mine a few years ago and still LOVE it!
I still use wordpress for writing and publishing my blog posts, but to crop/edit photos, I use Picasa and LOVE it! It takes some playing around with to find all of the little things you can do, but it’s free and easy to download :)
Good luck!
Yes! I love my Mac, I could never go back to a PC now. If you’ve never used a Mac before it will definitely take some getting used to but once you’re familiar with it it’s much more intuitive.
1. I think Etco is the only blogging software for Macs. But be warned, it’s not the best. I usually just use wordpress, unfortunately.
2. Picasa and Photoshop. Picasa is great (and free)! If you find something other than Photoshop to resize (as opposed to crop) photos easily, let me know!
Hey Caroline – I use Pixlr to resize: http://pixlr.com/editor/
You can upload pictures from your computer into this online program, and in my experience resizing has been pretty simple :)
Thanks, Kaitlyn!!
Hey! I’m looking in to using wordpress, do you use it through a hosting site or a blog through wordpress? I’m trying to figure it out, but having a little trouble, I already have a blog through weebly.
I use WordPress.org and have a hosting site (go daddy), but WordPress.com is free and I highly recommend it! I used it for about two years before making the switch to self-hosting :)
