Lovely Legs {Lunge} Workout

August 8, 2012 by Hillary 8 Comments

HEY! Happy Workout Wednesday!

I am really excited about the workout I’m going to share with ya’ll today. You want to know why!? …because I did it on Monday and my legs {and bootay} are still feeling it. It may also be due to the fact that I deadlifted 135lbs. yesterday — yahoo, I met my goal! — in addition to single-leg squats @ 85lbs. and a speedy 2 mile treadmill workout. #insaneismyname

Sweat

Back to the workout. Do you like lunges? Well, you may not after this workout. 200 lunges total.

Don’t leave yet. Trust me, you’ll survive.

LovelyLegs

Note: I recommend using anything from 5-15lb. bells. I used 2 15lb. dumbbells. Yes, 200 lunges at 30lbs. I told you I was a bit nutty.

It’s not too late for sexy, lean legs this summer.

Wowwwww! Lunges are so good for everything, and 200 of them sounds crazy scary, but kinda exciting! We must be nuts for sure ;) And thank you so much for responding to my email! That was actually super helpful…Have a beautiful day!

Ooooh! I’m likin’ the look of this work-out. I’m always up for some leg-burnin’! Except, my sister always gets mad when I do walking lunges…around the house…on our hardwood floor. I kinda plunk down loudly. Haha ;)

This was a great workout – I got so into it that when I looked back at the clock, an hour and a half had gone by. And I still feel a lovely soreness. (=

Monday mood: things are falling into place and it feels damn good! ✨ - Today’s salad bowl: romaine, leftover roasted sweet taters and feta from @eatfreshkitchen, their to-die-for “holy kale” dressing + an egg for good measure... just missing 🥑 - #nutritionnuteats #feelgoodfood Yep, that salad is all for me. - romaine - quinoa - avocado - roasted peppers - kalamata olives - feta - (forgot the) cucumber - olive oil + thick ass balsamic Whatcha having for lunch? #nutritionnuteats
Last night I did a thing... I enrolled in @camp.wellness: a 6-week online course (designed by the inspiring @thehealthymaven team) “helping women in wellness get aligned with their mission and pursue the life of their dreams.” ✨ Later this year, my blog (Nutrition Nut on the Run) turns TEN years old, but my commitment to health and wellbeing precedes the past decade — it’s what I am all about at my core, it’s intertwined in everything I am. It may have taken a cross-country move, ample time to think during my dangerous daily commutes, and hours spent in a cubicle to realize that life is too short to give your passions a mere 50%. If you can’t tell, I’m feeling fired up! 2019 is the year I say YES to cultivating a life deeply rooted in passion and aligned with who I am... everything else can go. #nutritionnutontherun #campwellnessbootcamp Slow Sunday mornings are my favorite. - @pamelasproducts gluten-free waffles - fresh organic blueberries - cashew butter - pure maple syrup - hemp seeds What’s your favorite weekend brunch meal?
