Hey guys!
I’m currently rolling on an exercise-induced endorphin high, so please excuse my excessive excitement in this post. I suppose it’s better than that alternative though, right?
Anyway… getting straight to the point.
Today was a FUN day for me at the box.
I did my first Rx WOD!
Huh? For those of you unfamiliar with the CrossFit lingo, Rx means “as prescribed.” In other words, each WOD (workout of the day) has a prescribed weight for men and women. You can’t just use the prescribed weight to “go Rx” though; you must use the full range of motion on all of the movements. It’s tough stuff.
With my workouts, it’s me against myself, but I will mention I had the fastest WOD time out of all classes throughout the day :)
I stayed around after class to learn kipping pull-ups and managed to do a few in a 10-minute lesson. #beastmode
The hardest part of today’s exercise was the 20-minute (2.5 mile) run before CrossFit. Endurance is fading fast. #runmore

How was your Monday?
What’s on your fitness schedule for the week?
CrossFit friends: Do you “go Rx” regularly?
Awesome job RX’ing your workout!!!!
I’ve RX’ed a few, but the weights weren’t super heavy! It is tough though.
I’m still a super beginner! Especially snatches – they suck and I suck at them! So frustrating!
Fitness schedule this week – mix between crossfit and running :)
Keep up the awesome work.
Congrats on your first RX!!! You will have many more to come I’m sure!
That’s awesome! Please keep the cross fit posts coming! It’s been nice getting a beginner’s perspective :)
Haha thanks for sharing the CF lingo. I had no clue what Rx was! Are you part of a CF group or do you make up your WODs?
I am a member at a CrossFit box :)
Haha, anddd… By “box” that means team?!
Congrats!! Rxing is such a huge rush :) As a fellow Crossfit newbie, I experienced the same feelings of competitive joy on my first Rx which was a mix of power cleans @ 95lbs. & box jumps.
Power cleans @ 95lbs. — that’s awesome!
