My little girls on the run must have inspired me…
I registered for a race today! Five things are crossed off my Fall Bucket List… just one to go! Which is it? :)
I can’t recall ever racing a 10K, but somehow 5K, 12K, 10-mile and half-marathon have all been done a time or two.
Seeing as that I am still enamored with CrossFit, and I don’t plan on that changing anytime soon, I used SmartCoach to design a training plan with minimal running. In the last two months at the box, I’ve figured that four WODs a week does my body best, so I like the plan “my coach” created.

Are you a fan of the 10K?
Any racing for you this season?
I’m so excited for you and your 10K!!! You’re going to have so much fun with it – it’s a great distance :) I did a 5K yesterday, but that’s probably the last road race I’ll do until summer, and track starts up again in January so I’ll technically be racing every weekend.
I’m a huge fan of the 10K! It’s challenging, but not too long. I have one race left this season (a half marathon) and then it’s probably off until spring. Enjoy your race!
Good luck with your 10K training! It’ll be interesting to see how you think CrossFit helps with your running. Believe it or not, I’ve never run a 10K :O I have a feeling I would love this distance, but have never found a race that I’ve been able to run for various reasons. Someday!
I love a 10K! Good Luck with your training!
I just signed up for my first run, but it’s in February. It’s the Color Run 5K. Yup, taking baby steps ^_^. Can’t wait to see how the training is going to work out, may need to borrow that plan of yours! Good Luck!
I would definitely check out SmartCoach (Runner’s World). You can create a customizable plan for your 5K – good luck!
I’ve never run a 10k race, but I love the distance itself (in terms of doing it on regular runs). Maybe I should find a winter 10k!
