Apparently Sundays are for hiking.
Today’s outing included SPF 45 and (more) moo-ing cows.
My mom reminded me today – in the midst of kicking up dust on the trail – that I used to turn up my nose if she asked me to go hiking. Now, I’ll initiate a hike. I’d rather be running the trails, but with a bum knee, any movement under the blue skies is appreciated.
I apologize for the fashionably late delay announcing the winner of the Albion Fit Giveaway (mother-daughter weekend took precedence).

How did ya’ll spend your weekend?
I love cows haha! Back in MD, I worked at the USDA and had a beautiful view of a farm and lots of cows. My weekend was spent working at the hospital filling some internship hours. No fun.
It looks like you had such beautiful weather for a hike! Jealous! Haha. I am looking forward to checking out new trails since I just moved to Chicago when the weather gets a little warmer. :-)
Those views are gorgeous! I’m the same way; I used to get so bored while hiking…now, I can go for miles and miles and never once get bored. Being so immersed in nature is such a wonderful experience.
Also, love the cows! Definitely reminds me of good ol’ rural Ohio haha.
Hi Hillary!! I wish I spent it hiking in the sun like you did. That sounds like so much fun!! I did a lot of studying, swing dancing and a 5k race with friends :) I feel ready for another week now!! Hope your Monday goes great!!
Mother/Daughter weekend > Blogging 100%. No need to apologize! Did you find out what’s wrong with your knee? Or is it just an on and off thing?
Your hiking adventure looks amazing – there is nothing I love more than being outdoors, especially on a gorgeous sunny day! Your photos are spectacular, I don’t think I’d wanna leave!
I love hiking! It’s such a great workout. Those pictures are beautiful!
Looks like a beautiful weekend for a hike! And some quality time with Mom is always a plus. It’s getting hot down here in the East Bay and the hills are turning yellow already!
I love hiking! I definitely think it’s one of those things you appreciate more as you get older, you know? I wasn’t a big hiker when I was little either…
Beautiful photos! I’m a little jealous of your tank top & shorts weather!
