Hey there – Happy August! If you’ve been reading Nutrition Nut for some time, you may recall that I love the first day of a new month. Who can say no to a “clean plate”? Before I get too excited about August, I wanted to wrap up with a few July highlights. It really did feel like the epitome of summer — rope swings, road trips, (a lot of) ice cream, lake time, juicy watermelon, and farmer’s markets galore. I’ll take it!

A lot of yoga and a lot of long walks. I can’t say I ate enough ice cream though, so I’ll have to make up for that this month. P.S. DQ’s s’mores blizzard is insane!

You’ve never been to a Dairy Queen?! *Gasp* I’m from Alabama so maybe that has something to do with it… I’m sure there’s a lot better ice cream in CA anyways! Haha.
I agree with the comment above about a DQ blizzard. They’re definitely not the healthiest thing, and one will hold you over for a while, but it’s definitely worth trying one! :D I’ve been loving ice cream and apricots!
Whee! for lake time. :) That watermelon salad is so pretty, I can’t stand it.
Highlight of July for me was a nice trip to Napa on the 4th.

Sounds like a great month! The highlight for me was having every Friday off from work. It was almost like vacation all month long!
