Super Legs Workout

November 13, 2013 by Hillary 12 Comments

The Love Grown Foods GIVEAWAY ends tonight at 9:00pm PST — don’t miss it!

GOOD morning!

I’ve got something a little different for you all today. Unlike last week’s dirty Wednesday workout, which was all about the heavy lifting (in comparison), today’s sweat sesh doesn’t require any weights at all (although, they’re optional).

The boy is always giving me good ideas for my at-home workouts. One of which he calls Super Legs: a deadly set of squats and lunges meant to be performed at the end of a workout “to completely gas somebody and just make them dead tired,” he explained.

The runner in me had the crazy idea of combining Super Legs with short intervals of running.

You can complete this workout outside, on a track, or on a treadmill*.

*If running on a treadmill, I suggest increasing the speed 0.5mph with each 0.75-mile interval.

This has to be the most evil 3-mile run ever! But my bikini will thank you! :)

I looove jump squats! And box jumps and jumping lunges. I guess I’m a little masochistic.

That’s awesome that he helps to keep you motivated with new home workouts. This one looks killer. It reminds me of Body Pump which exhausts your legs with a ton of squats and lunges. I have a love/hate relationship with it!

I love workouts that include running and circuit style movements. I’m in need of a good leg workout, so pinning this for sure!

Pinterest and blogs! Lately, I’ve gotten back in the groove of weight lifting (which I’ll forever love) and long runs when the sun is about to set. It’s so therapeutic to let your mind go while running. :)

Great looking workout! I do something similar, but with heavy weights after my plyo + strength leg workout, and I totally feel the burn. Thanks for sharing!

Monday mood: things are falling into place and it feels damn good! ✨ - Today’s salad bowl: romaine, leftover roasted sweet taters and feta from @eatfreshkitchen, their to-die-for “holy kale” dressing + an egg for good measure... just missing 🥑 - #nutritionnuteats #feelgoodfood Yep, that salad is all for me. - romaine - quinoa - avocado - roasted peppers - kalamata olives - feta - (forgot the) cucumber - olive oil + thick ass balsamic Whatcha having for lunch? #nutritionnuteats
Last night I did a thing... I enrolled in @camp.wellness: a 6-week online course (designed by the inspiring @thehealthymaven team) “helping women in wellness get aligned with their mission and pursue the life of their dreams.” ✨ Later this year, my blog (Nutrition Nut on the Run) turns TEN years old, but my commitment to health and wellbeing precedes the past decade — it’s what I am all about at my core, it’s intertwined in everything I am. It may have taken a cross-country move, ample time to think during my dangerous daily commutes, and hours spent in a cubicle to realize that life is too short to give your passions a mere 50%. If you can’t tell, I’m feeling fired up! 2019 is the year I say YES to cultivating a life deeply rooted in passion and aligned with who I am... everything else can go. #nutritionnutontherun #campwellnessbootcamp Slow Sunday mornings are my favorite. - @pamelasproducts gluten-free waffles - fresh organic blueberries - cashew butter - pure maple syrup - hemp seeds What’s your favorite weekend brunch meal?
