Annddd another week comes to a close. I hope y’all enjoyed your weekend and the holiday today, if you celebrated. (By the way, is it weird I was surprised how many stores were closed today?)
Anyway, I’m settling in from a weekend away visiting P. Lots to do (ahem, school!)… but here’s the low down on my exercise from the week.
I can’t remember the last time I cycled; and, well, I am doing a 30 mile ridewith my pops next Sunday. Yeah… good training, Hill.
Workouts | Week of April 14
Monday – Booty Burner Tabata Dumbbell Workout + 50 burpees + 50 KB swings + 50 KB side dips + 50 dumbbell sit-ups
Tuesday – 4 mile run
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – 400 Heavy Rep Workout + 80 (no push-up) burpees
Friday – Dorm Room Dumbbell Workout + 5-Minute Fat Blaster No Equipment Workout
quick, early AM workout
Saturday – Rest Day
Sunday – Easter “WOD” at P’s house
10 rounds:
- ~200m run (to the end of the block and back)
- 10 kettlebell swings @ 30lb.
- 10 kettlebell sumo squats @ 30lb.
- 10 burpees
This was tough to do decaffeinated and without music; but, I’m glad I was able to fit some sort of exercise into the weekend since Friday’s short workout was relatively easy/light.

Saturday, P and I went to Berkeley for the day: lunch at Cafe Rouge, growler fills and hellos to my co-workers at the Torpedo Room, and shopping on College Ave with kombuchas in hand.

Sounds like y’all had a fun weekend. Thanks for sharing those few photos. Have a fantastic start of the week :)
You will do great next weekend! I feel ya on the training though… I’m signed up for the Wildcat 125 and my longest ride so far has been 40 miles. I might have dropped the ball on that one lol. Hopefully the weather stays nice! The forecast for Sunday is high of 69 with 40% chance of rain. :/
Crossing my fingers it doesn’t rain!
I love your workout logs for inspiration! I think I definitely have to try that WOD – Happy Easter :)
Looks like a great weekend! I’ve never been to Berkeley, but my sister lives in Irvine so I’ve been to the LA region a few times!
I was surprised by how many stores were closed, too! And I love Berkeley, I don’t get over there nearly enough!
What a beautiful dog! I’m glad you have a good weekend. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
