Mornin’! Happy Workout Wednesday! I am mighty sore from my workout yesterday; that’s what trying new moves will do to ya!
As a current at-home exerciser, dumbbells are a staple in my workouts. They are entirely underrated, in my opinion; if you don’t workout with dumbbells (at the gym, or at home), you should pick up a pair. They aren’t just for bicep curls, my friends.
Dumbbells are extremely versatile (and they would be more so if I got a couple of additional pairs in lighter and heavier weights). With that said, here are 5 dumbbell moves you should add to your routines to tone up your body from head to toe.

2 // Elevators (video)
3 // Step-ups (simple version of Elevators)
4 // Turkish Get-ups (video)
5 // Skier Swings (video)

I’m always looking for effective ways to tone up my arms, so this is very useful. Thanks!
I love dumbbells! I have my 5’s and 8’s. Hoping to get back to using my 8’s sometimes soon!
Great tips – I’m thinking of setting up a “home gym” soon and will add these to the top of my list!
Love these. I had no idea what elevators were before this. Thanks for sharing. I love to use heavier weights and less repetitions. But that’s just me. Thanks!
Dumbbells are great to make body weight exercises even that much more challenging! I love using 5’s or 8’s. It’s perfect! My favorite is rows in the plank position, which looks like you are about to do in the photo of you at the top! :)
One of my favorites as well!
