Remember that (non-green) smoothie from my sunny weekend scenes post? Well, today I’ve got the recipe for y’all. I’ve made it two days in a row; it’s that good.

Banana Coconut Date Smoothie
gluten-free / dairy-free / vegan / no sugar added
Serves 1
- 3/4 c. unsweetened coconut milk beverage – I use Trader Joe’s brand
- 1/2 – 1 frozen banana
- 1 large (or 2 small) Medjool date
- ~1/2 T creamy almond butter
- 1 heaping tsp. flax seed
Blend all ingredients together in a blender until creamy; enjoy cold!

Now that the warm weather is here, I’ve been making smoothies non-stop for breakfast. This one sounds perfect and I just need to buy some dates, then I have all the ingredients!
I am always finding new ways to use dates and this looks awesome!! I can’t wait to try it out and I love that it is not green! I make way too many green smoothies!
Anything coconut right now sounds AMAZING. I’ve been buying coconut smells left and right, so a coconut smoothie sounds on PAR with the weather. :o)
Mmm smoothies are my go-to in the morning! Quick, filling, and I love that you can pack lots of healthy ingredients in there to get the most health bang (Is that a thing? It’s a thing) for your buck!

I’ve only ever had dates in Larabars and the like haha. But I hear they do make a smoothie extra delicious ;)
