On Thursday night, P and I re-celebrated my 25th — a week late. As I mentioned in Tuesday’s tidbits, I was preoccupied with school and preparing for a weekend in SF that my actual birthday ended up rather low-key: I got a facial after work, followed by take-out sushi, an IIN coaching call, and packing.
Regardless of a bash-lass birthday, I was still showered with thoughtful acknowledgments throughout the day.
I chose Red Tavern as my birthday dinner restaurant of choice. P and I are a fan of their cocktails and the al fresco dining ambiance; we both appreciate that they use local ingredients, too. We enjoyed a tasteful meal – interrupted by an appropriate belated birthday call from my brother – and finished off the night with a sliver of flourless chocolate cake at home.
Yesterday morning, I rolled out of bed feeling the effects of a sugar-saturated birthday week. One way to take care of that is with 3 rounds of the Birthday AMRAP workout using heavier (15lb.) dumbbells.
