When Urban Remedy reached out to me to participate in their #myurbanremedy campaign this month, I couldn’t pass them up – all the green juice!
I was not exactly in the mood for a juice cleanse when I was contacted a couple of weeks ago (What can I say, chewing is fun!); however, when I scanned Urban Remedy’s shop, I quickly learned that strict juice cleanses is not what they are all about.
Whether it is beating a sugar addiction, integrating more fresh meals, or committing to cleanse and reset, Urban Remedy wants to help people make their lives a little healthier; the company views food as healing – yes, yes, yes!
So, I opted out of trying one of their cleanses (someday), and chose a selection of fresh, cold-pressed juices from the a la carte menu.
I picked mostly leafy green juices with a couple bright, root vegetable-based beverages for a twist; overall, I loved my tasting experience. I especially enjoyed the juices with ginger and mint (like Flush and Support).
I am a big fan of their website feature that describes the health benefits of each ingredient in the varying juices… as is of interest to most consumers of raw, fresh juice. For example, the benefits of burdock root or turmeric are clearly explained in layman’s terms – no more organic chemistry, even for this Nutrition Nut.
In addition to a rainbow of fruit and vegetable beverages, Urban Remedy also sells cold brewed coffee (!), nut milks (mmm), and herbal boosts.
Why I am personally a fan of Urban Remedy:
- It’s USDA Organic – a must for me when it comes to fresh juice
- The produce is sources from local farmers who practice organic, sustainable farming methods
- It’s cold-pressed
- Their simple philosophy: food is medicine
What juice brands have you tried?
Do you juice at home?

I love how they have cold-brewed coffee! The a la carte options are great as well since I (like you) love chewing. I’ve tried the Suja cold pressed juice here in San Diego which is awesome as well!
I think they look tasty! I don’t usually buy juices because they are out of my budget. I’ve been using my Vitamix to make lots of green smoothies which are almost juice consistency.
i’m doing a juice cleanse next week (a diff brand), but i love reading about others’ experiences, too. good luck!!
Suja cleanse?
this next one is Ouri’s Juice cleanse based out of Brooklyn.
love me some juice! and the fact that they have cold brew coffee… so awesome.
Yum! I’ve been wanting to try similar juices, but I think I’ll check out this brand. And I’m with you on not wanting to cleanse. I’m also a fan of chewing my food!
Thanks for the review :-)
