This past weekend was spent in the Trinity Alps — a complete three days of disconnect from the outside world: stomping through the snow on hidden trails / sipping vegan peppermint hot cocoa / playing ping pong / laughing through a game of Cards Against Humanity / adamantly completing a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle / cuddling by the ornate wood stove / enjoying sweet company.
The marathon relay is this Sunday! Training has been bleak, meaning I have plans for this to be a “fun run” versus a race.

This place looks totally amazing. Love taking a break from the rat race!
You should try wild camping – I think you’d really enjoy it. Maybe not in the snow though…
There’s a quick recap of one of my experiences: http://bit.ly/campingclean-2
Gorgeous pics! It feels so weird to see snow. It’s been so warm here!
Looks like a fun weekend, I always enjoy spending time outside in the cold fresh air.
