Hey y’all! Happy Friday!
I am writing to you from the icy tundra of Asheville, North Carolina. I’ve been out here (~20 minutes outside AVL) for work since Sunday night. My first time in the South (aside from the Atlanta airport), and a first for a few other things, too: 1) eating delicious vegetarian Indian food at Chai Pani; 2) surviving zero to five degree weather; 3) sampling Manuka and Tuplo honey at Bee Charmer; and 4) sliding around the streets during “frozen rain” storms – to name a few.
The winter weather put a bit of a damper on my AVL adventures – slick/icy/unsafe roads and lots of shops and restaurants close in inclement weather – but it has been an exciting trip nonetheless.
I am ready to go back home to sunny CA today… to spend the weekend with P, see my brother (who I haven’t seen since Kauai!), meet his new pup, catch up with Health Coaching clients, and work on a few fun things coming to the blog next week…!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. xo
I’m sorry you came at an unfortunate time for weather, but at least food saves the day! Haha, enjoy and safe travels!!
aw this made me happy. my grandparents live in flat rock so we would go to asheville a lot. get back to the sunshine!!
Wow, this has to be the worst week of the year to visit the South and Asheville. We’re having record-breaking cold. Hope you are still enjoying yourself. I LOVE Chai Pani! Glad you tried.
Haha, I know – it’s been quite the weather, huh? Hopefully I’ll make it back during a warmer season :)
Ahhh…stay warm! I’d like to go to sunny CA too! It is so frigid everywhere near the East Coast and I am ready for Spring! Safe travels and stay warm!
That’s too bad you had to see Asheville like that, it’s such an awesome place. You got a nice little taste of life in Boston… can I come visit you in CA this weekend? Sigh.
Of course you can! :)
