I’m here again… and oh so soon!
I’m having myself quite the peaceful Sunday morning… I was up early (with sore hip flexors from yesterday’s 10 mile race), poured myself a glass of iced coffee and crawled back into bed to read with the cooler, almost-Fall air wafting through my window. Instead of immediately preparing breakfast, as I usually do, I let my tummy get a little hungry before making a batch of Puffy PB Banana Pancakes.
These were even better than I remember. I added 1 tablespoon of ground flax, which I think made them extra puffy. [Note: I only added one banana to the recipe today; two doesn’t seem necessary.] I almost forgot the brown sugar, but I’m glad I threw it in at the last minute because it adds a delightful, caramelly taste – mmm!
If creamy peanut butter and banana pancakes drizzled in real maple syrup doesn’t scream Sunday comfort, how about deep dark chocolate?
As a member of Foodbuzz Tastemaker program, I received a generous sampling (2 bags + 3 bars) of Ghirardelli Intense Dark chocolates to review – what a treat!
I’m quite the chocolate connoisseur, so it’s no surprise that I’ve sampled these chocolates once several times before. When purchasing chocolate, I do look at the ingredient lists for unnecessary, artificial additives. Ghirardelli gets two thumbs up in my book for their all natural line of dark chocolate.
Sea Salt Soiree – I love the combination of sea salt and crunchy almonds. With a lower cocoa content, it’s sweeter to the taste buds and therefore richly delicious.
72% Cocoa – My favorite of the three.
86% Cocoa – Not surprisingly, it’s bitter to the tongue, but smeared with a creamy peanut butter… yes, I went there.
How dark do you like your chocolate?
Time to refill my glass of iced – espresso roast – coffee and plough through my Sunday priorities…
See you! :)
