Hey friends – happy Hump Day!
Just because, here are some things I am lovin’ on lately:
Lululemon Hi-Rise Wunder Under Pants
These are life! I actually have a couple pairs of the cotton Hi-Rise (high waisted) Wunder Unders, but I just purchased a solid black pair in their Full-on Luon fabric… and I never plan to take them off. Everyone needs a pair.
ACV
I have gotten back into the swing swig(!) of apple cider vinegar (ACV) shots first thing in the morning (pre-coffee); my digestion runs smoother when I keep up with this ritual. The sour-y punch of vinegar in the AM certainly wakes up your taste buds!
Fit and Lean 2016 Challenge
I mentioned in my January Recap post that I have been participating in LG’s Fit & Lean 2016 Challenge. This is the sixth and final week, and I am bummed it’s ending. I followed the weekly workout plan Monday through Friday, and did my own cardio (and rest) on the weekends; I enjoyed having structured workouts that target just a couple of muscles groups each day (versus my typical un-planned, often random, full body workouts). The challenge introduced me to a lot of new exercises that I plan to incorporate into future workouts. I have witnessed increased strength and definition in my upper body, or as Lauren likes to calls them — “lady guns.”
Organic Food Bar™ Active Greens
I found these at my local Costco, and I am obsessed. Their muted green color sort of turned me off at first, but no — don’t judge a bar by its color. I’ve now gone through a few boxes of these snack bars. They are a vegan alternative to the beloved Perfect Bar. These babies are nutrient-dense and own a stellar ingredient list, including: spirulina, broccoli sprouts, wheat grass juice powder, pumpkin protein, and more. The base of the bar is almond butter and dates, so yep — they are tasty. Costco sells a box of 12 for ~$20.
Snapchat
Oops — I realized my account wasn’t set to public the past few weeks. All fixed now. If you’re missing frequent Nutrition Nut posts on Instagram, you’ll most likely find me whizzing up avocado pesto on Snapchat.
Nick Mulvey
Discovered this guy’s voice on Spotify. So soothing. Just listen.
