Hey! I don’t know how I create some of the lamest blog posts (ahem, yesterday) when I currently have a lengthy list of post ideas and recipes; I guess I get busy with life… and I think that’s a good thing, right? :)
Anyway… hope you all are rejeuvated after the long holiday weekend and bounced right back into your week. It couldn’t have been all that terrible seeing as it started off with Running Tuesday. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m definitely missing out my daily laughs from SkinnyRunner. I know she’s doing her fishin’ thing, and the blog is getting face lift (squeal – can’t wait!), so I thought I’d do my best to “fill in” for SR today. Hahaha, yeah right. Those are some fast shoes to fill.
This afternoon, after a pitcher of iced green tea and 4 dark chocolate espresso beans, I was ready to tackle my 5-mile tempo run at the WREC.
But first, some silly self-photos per SR protocol. A little vanity never hurt anyone ;)
- 1 mile warm-up @ 8:34 pace
- 3 miles @ 7:19 pace
- 1 mile cool-down around indoor track
I did ~10 minutes strength training beforehand and a 60-minute yoga class after sweating like I was in the Sahara. Yoga was so much more enjoyable tonight than it was last Thursday. It’s the little things.
